Karen Burgman, pianist of the CREDO TRIO, has performed throughout the US, Canada and Europe in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Jordan Hall, Toronto Center for the Performing Arts, and the National Gallery of Art. A winner of numerous prizes in collaborative playing and chamber music, Karen recently won a position on the artist roster of "Pennsylvania Performing Arts On Tour" as a collaborative pianist. She has also been recognized for her continued work in the area of music therapy and autism. She currently has two CDs on the label “Lifespring Music LLC,” conducts several youth and high school choirs, and maintains a private teaching studio at the Hilltown Creative Arts Academy.
Elizabeth Ann Larson, violinist of the CREDO TRIO, has played solo concerts throughout the U.S., Japan, England, Switzerland, Canada, Taiwan, South Korea, Estonia and India. She has performed at Symphony Hall, Boston with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Weill Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Victoria Hall, Geneva and has been featured on National Public Radio. Elizabeth has been a Resident Artist at many international festivals. She is on the faculty of Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music, the Credo and Masterworks Festivals and is the Director and Instructor at the Geneva Conservatory of Music, in New York City, which she founded in 2002.
Steuart Pincombe, cellist of the CREDO TRIO, has appeared in solo and chamber music performances across the US and Europe in venues including BargeMusic, the Kennedy Center, Avery Fischer Hall, and Riverside Cathedral. Steuart was the recipient of several creativity grants from the Oberlin Conservatory for his project of recording and performing the complete cello suites by Bach and an educational new music tour. He has also recorded new music for the Oberlin Conservatory’s AuralCapacity series and the Centaur label.
Dayla Stoerzbach graduated from Baylor University with her Music Education degree in May 2007 and completed her Masters in Viola Performance at Boston University under the instruction of Michelle LaCourse. During her two years in Boston, Dayla taught Class Strings at Boston University, led beginning violin classes for Belmont elementary students, and worked with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Intensive Community Program. She is currently teaching North of Boston, working with the North Shore Youth Symphony Orchestra’s outreach program in Lawrence, and starting new strings programs at schools in Peabody and Salem, MA. In addition to teaching, Dayla subs for the Cape Ann and Melrose Symphony Orchestras and plays as a mentor with the Gordon College Symphony in Wenham, MA.
Brian Wiebe is a violist, conductor, educator and arts administrator. He holds a master’s degree in viola performance from Northwestern University (Ill.), where he was a student of Peter Slowik. His contact with Peter led to being invited to be the residential director for Credo’s first season (1999), and later led to his role as executive director of Credo from 2001-2004. Since 2001, he has been the executive director of the Goshen College Music Center, overseeing programming, operations, and fund-raising. Brian was a member of the music faculty at Bethel College (Newton, Kan.) from 1995-2001, and a teacher at Central Christian School (Kidron, Ohio) from 1987-95, where he developed an orchestra program at the school and Suzuki program in the community. Brian and his wife, Brenda, are parents of three children.
